Export and Import Customs Clearance

"Expertly managing both swift customs clearance and robust customs risk management!"

While export and import customs clearance may appear similar across firms,

K&K professionals, with their extensive customs audit experience, deliver distinctly superior results in managing customs risks.

01

What is import declaration?

This refers to the process where the goods to be imported are declared to the customs officer, and if it is determined that the declaration complies with the Customs Act and other relevant laws and regulations, the customs officer accepts the declaration and issues an import declaration certificate to the declarant, allowing the imported goods to be released.

Reporting Time: The principle is to declare the goods after they arrive at the port (airport), but to expedite customs clearance, it is possible to declare the goods even before their arrival.

Documents to be submitted at the time of import declaration: The import declaration form is transmitted through the computerized system. If customs verification is required, documents such as the invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and inspection (quarantine) certificates must be submitted.

03

What is export declaration?

This refers to the procedures involved in exporting goods, including reporting the goods to customs and obtaining approval before loading the goods onto a foreign trading vessel.

Reporting Method and Timing: Report the goods scheduled for export to customs, and once the export declaration is accepted, the goods must be loaded onto a transport vehicle traveling abroad within 30 days from the acceptance date. (However, the loading period can be extended within a maximum range of one year.)
